An additional feature to a basic monitored Alarm System is the installation of a Panic/Hold Up alarm, otherwise known as a Duress Alarm. These systems are installed to provide additional protection either as security or as a form of direct access to medical attention.

The Duress Alarm can be installed in areas such as under cash registers, service counters or access doors, or alternatively worn on a necklace or attached to a key ring. An audible or silent Panic/Hold-Up Alarm will provide immediate notification to security, police, fire, or medical services through Austronic Security's Grade 1 Monitoring Control Centre.
